Heatherty skirt heads to class and a *surprise* photo

This sweet student of mine said the nicest thing about my skirt:
"Wow, that is the coolest skirt ever!"

I got compliments from adults and students all day about my unique skirt...it was totally fun to bask in their kind words.

This is my Charles. (in the navy blue)
He may look a little goofy, but this was taken early morning in the garage, temperature still a little cool, so his shirt is still on.

Believe me, these pictures don't do him justice, but you asked for a visual and I delivered!

My skirt's big Friday night

My skirt (and I)had a lovely evening at Ludy's. A quick 5 minute rain shower passed through, leaving a pretty rainbow. Sorry for the blurry picture of Jeff and me. I wouldn't have included it, except that it shows the skirt. The last picture looks like I have some crazy ponytail coming out the side of my head, doesn't it? But it's really Jami's head behind me. Funny.

I love this skirt!!!
I will take better pictures when I'm all dressed up to go out. Alex and Jami helped me take these, and one I took on my own. The mirror one. Seriously, I need to clean that mirror!
Jami spends a lot of time in front of it, spraying detangler in her hair, brushing her teeth, looking at herself. Should I be concerned? Hmm... I digress.
Heather is considering opening an Etsy shop to sell these fabulous skirts~I think she'd be highly successful.

Sexy socks?

I wonder, do sexy socks exist?

These stylish socks, and feet, belong to Jess (my fabulous sil) and me.
She's on the left, I'm on the right.

If anyone can do sexy when it comes to socks, or anything for that matter, it's me.
Yet, I haven't found sexy socks.

Granted, it's not like I've been out hard-core searching for sexy socks, but still.

In the top picture, I am modeling my lounging socks, trying to look sexy.
I nailed it, don't ya think?

Let me know if you are aware of a pair of socks that scream sexy.

Princess Jami and her mani/pedi

I spoiled my daughter this evening by giving her a mani/pedi. I went all out, even massaging her hands and feet with lotion. If you look real close, you'll see that I'm obviously not a true manicurist, but Jami loved it and that's all that counts!

Heatherty Featherty, look at my monogrammed purse!

Heatherty Featherty loves monogrammed things, so I wanted her to see my little "M" coin purse. I do not keep coins in it, however. It holds my lipsticks and chapsticks and glosses.
I'm getting embarrassed about my "old" things, though, because when I took this picture, I started remembering when I bought it, and wouldn't you know it? It's another oldie! I bought it at Bergner's in 04 when Jeff was in the desert for his second and last deployment. Michelle, Janet and me went out to dinner and then shopping. It's an old one and it is starting to show its age, with scraggly threads and a temperamental zipper. Might be time to pick up a new "M" purse.

Bronzer breaking age barriers...

Many times I have read in magazines that you should only keep your makeup for a few months or so, then throw it out and buy new.

That got me thinking about the bronzer/blusher I own. Must admit I've had it a little longer than the experts recommend.

I specifically remember purchasing it back in 03. Yes, I said 03, as in 2003, as in 6 years ago. Oops.

I just don't wear makeup on my skin much (obviously). I do wear eyeliner and mascara daily, though.

But I remember back in May of 03, my friend Marie came to visit/cheer me up because Jeff was at war. Marie's face had a great glow, but I knew it wasn't from the sun, since Marie is ultra-aware of how the sun's rays age skin.

So I asked Marie what she used and she told me bronzer. I went out and bought some the very next day. May. 2003.

Even typing it out doesn't make me feel the need to throw it out and buy new, especially since I know I have at least 2-3 more months left of it. Take that, makeup experts.

**BTW...I changed my layout again in honor of St. Patty's Day. I am enjoying the change and hope you are, too!!
