I got married at Country Carpets

This is the little church Jeff and I got married in. It houses Baptists now, but was of the Lutheran denomination back in the day.

Right across the street from this church is Alex and Jami's school, so I'll occasionally mention as we drive by, "there's the church mommy and daddy got married in".

Silly me, I thought my children hung on my every word. How wrong I was, because last week, when I snapped this picture, my son and I engaged in the following conversation:

Alex: "Mommy, why are you taking a picture of this church?"

Me: "Because it's the church where I married your father, remember?"

Alex: "Oh, I thought you got married at Country Carpets."

Me: "Huh?"

Alex: "I thought you always pointed over there when you said that's where you got married."
He said this while pointing to Country Carpets, which is a stones throw away from the church.

Me: "No, we did not wed at Country Carpets, we got married in this church."

Alex: "Oh. At recess, I told my friends and teacher that you married daddy at Country Carpets, and I even pointed it out to them."

Nice.
