Drinkable chunks

So, this will be the last health and fitness Friday, as I'm going to return to writing about whatever I fancy at the moment. I can't be put in a box like that, people, forced to write about health and fitness on Fridays even when I don't feel like it. Glad I go that off my chest.

Today I want to tell you about Campbell's Soup at Hand, the lunch I have at work because it is handy to eat/drink while I walk with the music teacher.

It's not all I eat, as the tomato soup is not very filling, so I snack on crackers or whatever in between classes.

I only like the tomato drinkable soup. I tried the chicken noodle drinkable soup once and oh. my. gosh. Drinking those chunks of noodles made me gag, gag, gag.

Chunks aren't meant to be ingested in liquid, yet still chunky, form. The only other chunks I can think of that I've consumed in somewhat liquid form are fruit chunks in smoothies, and I really like those. So go figure.

I'm finished talking about drinkable chunks now, as it's making me gag again.

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend! I'm looking forward to attending a guard retirement par-tay tonight and hanging with peeps.

Health and fitness Friday

I just don't know why I started health and fitness Friday a week ago. Blah, blah, blah. But I started it, so here goes.

The picture? Those are the containers of fresh fruit I buy about twice a week in order to keep my babies, husband, and myself healthy.

Check out the price, if you can see it? $6.39. Some are a little more, some a little less.

I question the fairness of such expensive health food. How are low-income families expected to supply a healthy diet to their families?

I know there are cheaper health alternatives, like buying the fruit whole and slicing it yourself, or buying canned or frozen. But still, it just doesn't seem right somehow.

I have now climbed down off my soapbox, thank you very much.

As far as the fitness part, I think I need to start playing tennis again. Patty and I played once a week a couple years ago. She beat me every time, so she probably would prefer a more challenging opponent, but I'm up for having my booty handed to me on a racket again if she is.

Enjoy your weekend--peace out.
*btw-does anyone say "peace out" anymore?

Ha! Health and fitness Friday?!!

Ha! Double ha! This is the snack I'm eating while we're waiting to go bowling, when I remembered my blog post today about health and fitness. Cracked me up. I'm thinking fritos and beer doesn't fall under the health category, huh? Side of guilt to accompany those fritos? No, thanks. It's all good! It's the weekend and I'm sure I'll burn off enough calories bowling to at least void out one frito, right?!!
