Quite possibly the funniest "vacation" I've ever taken

We woke up Sunday morning and felt ugh and blah. The weather was gray, rain and snow were in the forecast, and we were tired of working on the house. Jeff suggested we head to Starved Rock water park, but we needed to be in town early Monday morning, so I had the bright idea to check into a hotel...3 miles up the road. And you know what? We had a ball! We called lots of people who came out to swim and hang out with us. Overall, I thought the whole experience was relaxing and fun. You'll all be receiving your postcard any day now...

Birthday parties and pregnancies

This was Emily's birthday cake--too cute, right? I'll be posting info about the lady who made it soon, I hope.

There's the birthday girl!

My mom knitted that hat for Emily. Another item I want mom to sell on Etsy.

Lots o' pink.

Pretty adorable.

Abby was all about Emily.

What a big one-year old!

And her parents announced at her party today that they are expecting baby #3 in September!
Congratulations, Mick & Jess!!

School function---p.t.a. junction

Banner's PTA hosted a family movie in the gymnasium last night.
Kung Fu Panda was the feature presentation and there was popcorn, candy and water.
Good times, good times.
Only thing missing were adult beverages...
is that wrong that I even noticed that at family movie night?!

Off to my niece's 1-year birthday party this afternoon,
then to Andy and Jenny's for poker/hanging out tonight.

I like to keep all of you updated on my moment-by-moment moves, it appears.
I may or may not have blogging issues...
pretty sure it's one or the other.

More Hannah and Kristin bday party pics...

Nice bra strap, Marci, huh?!!

Roller skating rock star and birthday party princess

We celebrated Hannah's 7th and Kristin's 20th bdays today/tonight. Lots of fun had by all!

Wii ruined family bowling night!

My kids are so used to strike after strike when they play Wii bowling that it ruined them for the real game.

Even with bumpers, we all bowled horribly, but the kids were devastated by their low scores.

I'm embarrassed to admit that there were even tears. Seriously. All because of Wii.

We've bowled in the past, b.w. (before Wii), and there were smiles and laughter. A.W. there were bad attitudes and upset children.

Don't you love spending $50 for an evening of disappointed/disillusioned children?!!

And the kids cried wii, wii, wii all the way home...
