Oldie but goody

*I tried to find a picture that shows my ginormous teeth to their fullest extent, but couldn't uncover any that do them justice, so I just settled for this one.

I transferred a few old posts of mine from Shutterfly that I'll "re-run" when I'm too busy to write an original.

Here's one of them:

Tall-Toothed Types

August 31, 2008

"Miss, them are some big ole teeth you got!" That is what a student said to me last week. Seriously. I didn't know quite how to respond, but then again it is not the first time a student has commented on my (evidently) over-sized chompers.

Even my own daughter asked me, in a very worried voice, I might add, "Mommy, will my teeth be as big as yours when I grow up?" Since I could tell she hoped the answer was no, I could have pacified her with a fib. But that's not how I roll.

I told her since her mom and dad both have crazy-big teeth, that she would more than likely have them, too. I did soften the blow, however, by pointing out that at least we're not of the big-bootied breed.

I'm thinking I should start getting a complex about my tall teeth, but refuse to do it.

  1. Now if you had tall teeth AND a big booty, I would start to worry. Until then....

I think we all have something. I kid you not, I have the longest toes I have ever seen. Well, other than my sister's. But seriously. REALLY long toes. I get comments often.

  2. I feel like I have a really big head. It looks proportionate on me, but in pictures next to friends, I look like a total bobble-head. Apparetnly I need to start standing a few feet behind friends during picture taking opportunities in order to even the playing field...

  3. I think you have beautiful teeth! I was always teased that I look like a vampire because my canine teeth are so pointy.
